Quarterly update time is here again. The TCI SuperCoder team is hard at work to make sure you’ve got all the up-to-date coding data you need at your fingertips. Here’s just a sample of the changes on the way Oct. 1, 2019.
ICD-10: Both ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS 2020 updates are effective Oct. 1, and we’ll help you apply new and revised codes correctly and avoid deleted codes that could sink your claims. ICD-10-CM has more than 300 changes for subcategories and codes, and there are a whopping 2,920 changes for ICD-10-PCS, so you can’t afford to use an outdated resource for these codes.
CPT® and HCPCS Level II: The ICD-10 code sets aren’t the only ones with changes coming. Be ready for new CPT® lab codes and HCPCS Level II codes for drugs and supplies.
CCI PTP edits: Physician coders will have nearly 170 changes for Medicare Correct Coding Initiative procedure to procedure edits, and that’s just the start. We’ll be updating both physician and outpatient edits for both Medicare and Medicaid.
MUEs: Medicare’s Medically Unlikely Edits (MUEs) are essential for keeping your units in line with expectations. Find the latest practitioner, outpatient, and DME edits in your TCI SuperCoder account with fee schedule tools.
Fee schedules: The October update is bringing RVU changes for a couple of codes on the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, and we’ll be updating those along with the other Medicare fee schedules to ensure you know what to expect for your claims.
