XS, XU Modifier

Cindy Posted Thu 15th of January, 2015 17:02:32 PM

Are you familiar with the (X) modifiers. Need help in billing a LHC with STENT. I would normally use 92928, 93458-26 and I added 59 to the 93458. Not sure if I should use XS or XU.

Using modifier XU would be most appropriate in above scenario.

Modifier XU represents “Unusual Non-Overlapping Service, The use of a service that is distinct because it does not overlap usual components of the main service”

Thanks !!
