Workers Comp reimbursement

Kathy Posted Wed 27th of February, 2013 18:48:57 PM

I work in Massachusetts, when filing a workers compensation claim do I have to "accept assignment"? IF the answer is no and the reimbursement is less than the charged amount am I allowed to bill the patient the balance on the claim?

This is more of a legal issue. I would suggest you to talking to an experienced lawyer can help you understand your legal rights and get a sense of the big picture.

Your settlement should be based upon future medical needs. It should also take into consideration how much the insurance company anticipates paying in future wage loss benefits.
