which is the correct way to bill 19125, 19126

patient had a wire-localized breast biopsy of right breast with an additional biopsy of posterior mass on same breast and then had a wire localized of the left breast? do you bill 19125 rt and 19125 lt and 19126 OR 19125 and 19126 X2

Well, CPT 19215 and 19126 are for breast lesion excision. As per you description breast biopsy has been done. So, use code series 19081-19086 according to your check your documentation for breast biopsy.

this was an excision of the lesions where clips were 2 separate lesions on right breast and one on the left breast
