What code do I add a modifier 59 to?

Marina Posted Mon 11th of March, 2013 22:32:24 PM

I am billing Medicare using codes 67917, 67961, and 67950, which code should I use a modifier 59 with?

SuperCoder Answered Tue 12th of March, 2013 13:15:58 PM

Code 67950 is a column 2 code for 67917 , but a modifier is allowed in order to differentiate between the services provided.
*Use modifier 59 with code 67950
