Lori Posted Wed 18th of April, 2012 15:41:03 PM

we have an insurance called Tricare Prime which will only cover 1 pe's between the ages of 5-11..the pt comes in for the 5 yr well visit which is billed as v20.2 dx and a 993993 they come back next year for a 6 yr visit...how can we bill that visit with another dx's that is not well..and the pt is not sick for the visit.. I hope this is not too confusing??

Have them fill out an ABN, indicating that their insurance will not cover for the service and is the patient taking responsibility of payment. If patient agrees , bill the patient instead, with physical codes.
