I NEED A ICD 10 CODE FOR WEIGHT LOSS FOR A 6 MO OLD CHILD .. I TRIED TO USE FAILURE TO THRIVE THE DOCTOR DID NOT WANT THAT CODE USED..I WAS TOLD IT WAS TOO EARLY TO CONCLUDE..

We cannot use ICD-10 code failure to thrive for this condition. As such, there is no ICD-10 code for weight loss for infant/child, so you can use ICD-10 codes for "light for dates."

Depending on how much the child has lost, you could use the light for dates codes (P005.0x or P05.1x).
