"Sharp dissection through the skin. Blunt tenotomy scissors dissection down to the A3 pulley. A3 pulley was excised with a #15 blade scalpel. The flexor tendons were adherent to the fibroosseous canal. Both the FDS and FDP were tenolysed with tenotomy scissors. The that point then the tendons were retracted radially and ulnarly, both, with the volar plate was released on either side of the tendons with a #15 blade scalpel. This with some manual pressure allowed the finger to return to be completely straight at the PIP joint".
I have no idea what to use for the volar plate release...I've looked at collateral ligament, but the only codes state repair or reconstruction...Please help!!!!
