Vein patch angioplasty

Sonnia Posted Mon 23rd of May, 2016 12:15:15 PM
Can you code a vein patch angioplasty with a CABG procedure? Is this considered inclusive? Procedure performed is as follows; The OM1 had a calcific lesion just prior to the bifurcation, it was cut across and a 1 inch anastomosis with a vein patch angioplasty using 7-0 prolene running suture.

Hi, As per the CPT guidelines, vein patch angioplasty with a CABG procedure is inclusive in the CPT code. Hope this helps! Thanks
