99204
90460
90474
90461 x 6?
90680
90670
90698
90744

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

If 99204 is billed with a separately billable Dx, than the Dx used for these vaccines, then you can use modifier 25 with the E/M code.

ALL ELSE IS CORRECT?

Patricia Posted Tue 20th of September, 2011 19:44:50 PM

ALSO THE THE DX IS V20.2 ARE YOU SAYING I NEED TO ADD THE VACCINE DX ON THE VACCINES, AND THE AMD CODES???????

SuperCoder Answered Wed 21st of September, 2011 15:53:11 PM

Yes, you need to use vacccine Dx on vaccines and administration, but for 99204 the Dx should be something else based on the reason for visit, signs, symptoms, findings, etc can justify that the E/M visit is not related to vaccination.

I have been told by our billing software company, whoi
Is 5010 certified that vaccine specific diagnosis will no longer be required, to use V20.2 on A and vaccines. Have you heard of this? We have been in trial since August and only one denial, which was a policy that had well visit exclusions. Would like your take on this, please.

Thanks
