My doctor used a balloon dilation catheter that was inserted over the guide wire and was able to negotiate this over the wire through the opening of the ureterocele. He was then able to un-roof the ureterocele with the balloon dilator creating a widely patent opening. Would I use 52290 for this? Am at a loss. Please advise. Thanks!

Well, check you whole documentation properly, CPT 52341 seems appropriate for the given scenario. Whereas dollar value is concern, RVU value for CPT 52341 is 8.17 and for CPT 52290 is 7.03. Hope it helps!
