Urology/Scrotal mass

Cherie Posted Thu 29th of October, 2015 13:44:28 PM

My Dr. removed a scrotal mass that did not involve the testicle or the spermatic cord, even though it was adjacent. Would I code 27047? Please advise. Thanks

You are right, CPT 27047 is the most appropriate code in this case. Make sure that the procedure performed subcutaneously and select the code according to the size of the mass removed. CPT 27047 is for size less than 3 cm.
