Urology/Lap converted to Open.

Cherie Posted Mon 02nd of May, 2016 13:31:37 PM
My Dr started out doing laparoscopic sacral colpopexy and converted to open, I code the open procedure, but for the discontinued Lap procedure, will I need to code for a lap exploration?

Hi, When a procedure begins by laparoscopic approach, but for any reason completed by open approach, open approach seems more appropriate.
