URINE CYTOLOGY REPORT
INTEPRETATION: NEGATIVE FOR MALIGNANCY
MICROSCOPIC FIDINGS: BACTERIA, SQUAMOUS CELLS, SCATTERED UROTHELIAL CELLS
WOULD YOU ASSIGN DIAGNOSIS FROM INTERPRETATION AND BECAUSE IT IS NEGATIVE ASSIGN FROM THE REQ. OR WOULD YOU ASSIGN FROM THE MICROSCOPIC FINDINGS. THANK YOU

Greetings from SuperCoder.com!
Since there was no abnormal finding on CYTOLOGICAL exam, you may report code for MICROSCOPIC exam (eg. bacteria, squamous cells, scattered urothelial cells). You should choose ICD-10 codes from the following:
- R82.71 - Bacteriuria
- R82.79 - Other abnormal findings on microbiological examination of urine
