scalpel was then used to incise through the skin on top of the lesion. There was no identifiable capsule to the globular mass but several transverse veins were noted to be running across the center of the mass.  The dissection was carried down across both radial and ulnar neurovascular bundles. The underlying flexor tendon sheath was seen, intact.
