Ultrasound

Sandra Posted Wed 16th of December, 2009 19:22:21 PM

Here's a new one: my doctor wants to take his ultrasound machine over to the hospital and do ultrasounds on inpatients. Then bill all components. We have told him he cannot do this. He says we can. HELP!

If the hospital does not have a problem allowing the use of equipment in their facility by your doctor then he sure can bill the services as global, i.e., you do not need to append modifiers 26 or TC to the code.
