Is anyone having problems getting Tricare to pay for Mirena? They reimburse us fine on other IUDs, but with Mirena they are reimbursing only $44.00. I am having a hard time getting in touch with customer service and wondered if anyone else has had this problem? Thank you

Hi Michelle,

Its not the TRICARE policy, but the Provider's choice not to bill TRICARE for the patient. Because the doctor is not contracted with TRICARE, they can make the billing rules. Further, it needs to be confirmed if the physician write a prescription then order it.
