What is the correct cpt coding for this procedure. Pt has hx of recurrent idiopathic ascites with hx of transvaginal ultrasound aspiration. Descr: Pt in OR; iv given, exam under anesthesia, transvaginal ultrasound probe placed and needle was placed through applicatorof probe. This was inserted through the vaginal wall into the cul-de-sac; suction and aspiration was performed.
