TCOM CPT codes

Bonnie Posted Tue 24th of November, 2015 12:34:31 PM

I would like to know what CPT codes may be used for test Transcutaneous oxygen measurements (TCOM) when the measurements are used to evaluate the degree of hypoxia in ischemic tissue for patients undergoing HBO therapy. This would be for Medicare and non-Medicare patients. Thanks so much.

Thanks for your question,

There are only two codes in the CPT mannual for transcutaneous oxygen measurements. These codes are:
93922 transcutaneous oxygen measurements for 1-2 level
93923 transcutaneous oxygen measurements more than 3 levels
