surgery cancelled

Tobi Posted Wed 25th of February, 2015 08:42:13 AM

Anesthesia spent 20 minutes with this pt and provided Fentanyl but there was no IV sedation. The surgeon cancelled the procedure due to A Fib. Can Anesthesia bill for anything?

Thank you for the query
Anaesthesiologist can bill the appropriate anaesthesia code with appropriate discontinued modifier (Modifier 53).
