Subpectoralis Biceps Tenodesis

Joan Posted Thu 17th of September, 2015 16:02:48 PM

Would CPT-23440 be appropriate for this since the tendon is being tenodesed to other than the "anatomically normal insertion"?

Here the physician is only doing tenodesis, so CPT 23430 is appropriate code for this condition and if the operative report says that the physician is first resected the tendon and then placed or transplanted it, then use CPT 23440.
