'submucosal saline injection and india ink mark'

Randa Posted Mon 19th of September, 2011 14:57:00 PM

The injection is done to lift a flat polyp for retrieval. The india ink mark was done to mark the spot of the polyp because of the "boarders" found when the polyp was retrieved. Can I bill for both since it was done for two different purposes?

No, we can't take both the injection code for the same procedure on the same anatomical region.
