Our Physician has an established patient who is a diabetic that he see's as primary care.He saw the patient on 5-1 then sent the patient to His PA to handle his Insulin pump, PA charged out a 99215, Physician charged a 99214, both for 5-1-17 DOS. PA charges went out as 'incident to' Is this correct? Can both bill for same date of service?

Hi,

According to CMS guidelines, 99214 and 99215 cannot be billed together for the same patient on the same date of service.
