Shoulder Labral Tear

L Posted Mon 24th of August, 2015 22:37:21 PM

How would I code the following:
DIAGNOSIS:
1.Right shoulder tear of the inferior labrum, complex bucket handle-like tear without instability.
2.Tear of the medial biceps sling and instability of the longhead bicep tendon with severe bicep tenosynovitis, right shoulder.
3.Right shoulder subacromial impingement syndrome.
4.Right shoulder distal clavicle osteolysis.

PROCEDURE:
1.Right shoulder arthroscopic biceps tenodesis.
2.Right shoulder inferior labral repair without capsular shift.
3.Right shoulder arthroscopic subacromial decompression.
4.Right shoulder arthroscopic distal clavicle excision.

I know 29828,29826,29824 but am not sure what to code for procedure 2.
Thanks!

As it is Inferior labral repair, so you cannot use 29807 for this procedure. So, you need to use CPT code 29806 for inferior labral repair. Also, do check CCI edits before billing these codes.
