Sessile serrated polyp from Transverse Polyp

Heidi Posted Tue 18th of October, 2016 10:30:57 AM
I have been questioning what to put as the diagnosis code for the Path's that come back as "Sessile serrated polpyp." Would you bill these as the Adenomatous code or the Hyperplastic DX code?

ICD 10 code K63.5 (Polyp of colon) is appropriate for Sessile serrated polyp.
