Septoplasty without Incision

Camille Posted Sun 15th of December, 2019 17:10:39 PM
If a surgeon corrects a high, right septal deviation by relocating the deviation and fracturing the bone back to the left, is that enough work to report CPT 30520? Thank you kindly!

Hi Camille,
Thanks for your question.
This documentation is enough to report septoplasty i.e. CPT code 30520 for a deviated septum. One more thing that may also be included in the documentation is mucosal flap elevated and then repositioned after correction of deviated septum.
