sent to hospital from office

If a provider sends patient to the hospital to get a test done from the office the same day then goes and interpret the test do you bill for the office visit and the interpretation? for example provder saw patient in the office 02/23/16 then sends patient to hospital for spriometry do you bill for both with 26 modifier on spriometry

Yes, If the provider has performed Evaluation and Management on that day, then provider should bill for the E&M (office visit) code. Provider should bill with 26 modifier for interpretation of the test report and Facility (Hospital) should bill with TC modifier for the technical services provided for spirometry (equipment etc).
