screening colonoscopies for medicaid patients

Mary Posted Tue 22nd of February, 2011 14:29:36 PM

I have had a "senior" moment - screening colonoscopy for medicaid patient - do we follow Medicare guidelines and use a G code or just use 45378?

Even if I know that people shared experiences of changing the CPT from G code to 45378, but I found a very old Medicaid Guideline to refer: Except G0107 which is now changed to 82270, all other codes remaining valid, you can refer:
http://www.nd.gov/dhs/services/medicalserv/medicaid/docs/cpt/colorectal-screening-tests.pdf

I request more coders to share their experiences too in this regard.
