The doctor is performing a "Bilateral S1 Screw Block". I have tried researching this for a procedure code but all I am finding is using the 64999, Unlisted procedure, nervous system. Most of the articles I found were 4+ years old. Is there a different CPT code that can be used or is the 64999 still the appropriate one?

Hi Nicole,

As per the above limited information, The screw block is been performed on spine, since there is no single screw block code, it will be correct to use 22899 (unlisted procedure, spine). procedure for spine instead of 64999 which is for nerve. Please feel free to ask if any further query.
