What is the difference between national & adjusted on the RVU schedule? Thanks Kim
SuperCoder Posted 3 month(s) ago

Hi,

National & adjusted on the RVU schedule: To calculate the payment for each service, the components of the fee schedule (work, PE, and MP RVUs) are adjusted by geographic practice cost indices (GPCIs) to reflect the variations in the costs of furnishing the services. The GPCIs reflect the relative costs of work, PE, and MP in an area compared to the national average costs for each component.

For more info please check below links, that will be helpful.

Hope that helps!
