SuperCoder Posted Thu 18th of November, 2010 19:54:39 PM

Question on how to code initial exam/treatment for Foreign boy in eye with results of a rust ring? '930.0' Cprneal foreign body '360.59' intraoculrforeign body, magnetic, in other or multiple sites. and 'V90.11' Retained magnetic metal fragments. procedure '98.21' Removal of superficial foreign body from eye without incision.
If patient returned would you just code the '360.699' and 'V90.10'??

The code should be 360.59 (if the exam is a f/u of magnetic intraocular foreignbody) and
V90.11 if nothing is specifically mentioned as different finding from old study.
