ROCEPHIN INJECTION.

Shade Posted Thu 23rd of October, 2014 09:27:50 AM

IF CEFTRIAXONE SODIUM 250MG WAS GIVEN TO PT. IN 1GRAM WILL THE CALCULATION BE X 4 OF THE INJECTION. PLEASE HELP.

Thanks for your question. Code J0696 for Rocephin is based on 250 mg, so you need to determine how many mg your physician gives. If he gives 1 gram of Rocephin, you'll report 4 units (1 gram equals 1000 mg, so 1 gram equals 4 units of J0696). Hope this helps.
