Risk Level

When determining the risk level for MDM, Moderate Risk includes "RX Drug Management"....What does RX Drug Management entail? Does it include writing a new prescription?

Hi,

RX Drug Management includes :

1) new prescription consiting of medical management by drug or

2) addition of any new drug into the existing drug prescription.

Both account for moderate complexity decision making.

Hope this helps!

So just to clarify...writing a new prescription for (ex: Acute illness, Eczema) is moderate complexity even though the dx is low risk?
