A revision of iliostomy (44312) was performed due to a stenotic ileostomy causing a small bowel obstruction. A rectus sheath fasciotomy was performed in order to increase the size of the fascial lumen. Is there a separate code for the fasciotomy or is this inclusive of the work done with the revision? Thank You,

Hi,

If the procedure is performed through the same skin incision at the same patient encounter it will not be reported separately. In case and additional incision is given on the separate site, it is separately billable.

Further query is welcome!
