Resection of Cecal Wall

Lee Posted Mon 09th of April, 2012 15:32:23 PM

The Physician performed a Laparoscopic Appendectomy which was the primary procedure. He was not satisfied with the appendiceal stump closure on the cecum so he resected a section of the cecal wall. I feel that if I use '44204' it will be to much and would be made the primary procedure. What do I do?

This is an incidental procedure. The physician was dissatisfied with closure of appendiceal stump. It will not be coded.Laparoscopic Appendectomy will be the primary procedure.
