The following was performed along with a 63200. Not sure how to code it. "The incision was made with a #15 blade and dissection was carried around the tract with a straight jake dissector. The tract was very thin and wispy, but we followed it through a small fascial defect. We performed a partial laminectomy at the cranial segment and followed the tract towards the dura, where it appeared to end blind on the left side."

Hello

Although it is quite difficult to tell you the exact code as per limited documentation as above, but as per above, provider is just performing a laminectomy and CPT code 63200 seems to be the most appropriate code to go with the above documentation.

So not a separate code for the resection of dermal tract? Because this was done separately from the tethered cord. The incision was made with a #15 blade and dissection was carried around the tract with a straight jake dissector. The tract was very thin and wispy, but we followed it through a small fascial defect. We performed a partial laminectomy at the cranial segment and followed the tract towards the dura, where it appeared to end blind on the left side.

Hello

Tethered spinal cord is a symptom of dermal sinus tract, so the treatment required for both would be same. CPT code 63200 seems to suffice the above documentation for both dermal sinus tract resection as well as laminectomy for tethered spinal cord treatment.
