Rereads of pathology slides

Jeanne Posted Tue 08th of October, 2013 10:01:29 AM

Is it allowed to bill for rereads on pathology slides that have already been read and billed?

No, you should not separately bill for rereading pathology slides that have already been examined and billed, whether by the same pathologist or another pathologist in the group. That’s considered a quality assurance service and is not billable.
