Reinserting Earring

Bernadette Posted Tue 05th of January, 2016 11:07:08 AM

A patient came back in after her earring fell out from pulling something off her head and mom was not able to get earring back in the ear lobe. Patient had her ears pierced a week ago. The doctor reinserted the earring with effort manually. Is there a diagnosis code we could use for this procedure? On the exam the doctor did note that the lobe had minor redness. We appreciate your feedback.
