Re-excision of anal lesion

E. maria Posted Wed 03rd of February, 2016 17:03:59 PM

Pt underwent a skin biopsy 11100 which was positive for anal intraepithelial neoplasm. She was taken back to surgery days later for re-excision of anal intraepithelial neoplasm 2/3. The previous incision was identified and a 1 cm margin was attempted to be obtained throughout the entire prior incision. This was taken down through subcutaneous fat.The incision was closed with 4-0 Monocryl subcuticular stitch. Will CPT 11601 for the re-excision and 12031 for the closure be correct?
