I am looking for a cpt code for repositioning of a gastrostomy tube. I see cpt 43761 - repositioning of naso or oro-gastric feeding tube but this was not in that area, this tube was in the stomach and was not used for feeding. It was also done under fluoro. The tube was definitely repositioned.

As per review there is only single code i.e. 43761 which is used for repositioning of a gastrostomy tube and if performed under fluoroscopy guidance than CPT 76000 also reported separately along with 43761.
But as per given documentation complete picture of gastrostomy and purpose of procedure is not clear; So Please provide some more details of procedure and purpose of placement of gastrostomy tube for appropriate answer.

The pt's history was Whipple procedure. Insertion sight was lower lateral left abdomen and grossly draining bile around the outside of the tube and not coming out of tube, so the physician had to reposition it further into the stomach for the bile to drain properly.

As there is no specific code available for repositioning of non feeding gastrostomy tube, hence the appropriate code for above mentioned scenario will be 43999 (Unlisted procedure, stomach).
