Question on code 42808

Elaine Posted Mon 14th of October, 2013 08:18:25 AM

If you remove a lesion and use silver nitrate instead of suturing the area, can you still use code 42808?

The physician removes or destroys a lesion on the pharynx. There is nothing that says you cannot use CPT code '42808' when using silver nitrate. Yes, you can still use it.
