Q3 - Zingo 70645-123-26

ShoShana Posted Tue 18th of October, 2016 13:21:18 PM
What MODIFIER can be used to bill Zingo during procedure and what level of SOAP notes would be required to justify?

Hi  ShoShana,

Adding modifier to Zingo will not make any difference in billing/payment. These codes are for items and/or services that CMS chose to exclude from the fee schedule payment by regulation. No RVUs are shown, and no payment may be made under the fee schedule for these codes. Payment for them, when covered, generally continues under reasonable charge procedures. Also you need to check with your payer if they allow billing zingo. Thank you.
