Pt presented in the office am with severe abdominal pain. Dr. Sent pt to get a CT scan ABD/PEL. Returned in the PM to get diagnoses of severe diverticulitis to get plan of care. Do I bill two sep E & M codes with Modifier with 2 sep diagnosis'? Please advise. Your assistance is much appreciated

Since the two visits are related to the plan of care of same problem on same DOS, so, you need to bill an E/M level of higher of the two on a higher side, as there have been two visits on same DOS.
