BELOW IS YOUR ANSWER TO THE PREVIOUS QUESION ON THE Z00121-Z00129. I AM A BIT CONFUSED. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THE CHILD IS WELL AND RECEIVED WELL LABSSCREENS WELL VISIT AND VACCINES, HEARING SCREENS. HOW WOULD YOU CODE THE DIAGNOSIS FOR EXAMPLE BELOW.

99391 25
85025 Z23
82948 Z23
83655 Z23
90680 Z23
90460 Z23

PLEASE HELP. THANKS

code Z00.121 and Z00.129 are for abnormal findings only. It does not matter whether patient has any disease or not, patient is new or established or patient has any acute or chronic condition, but if provider found any abnormal findings during examination, he need to use code Z00.121. - See more at: https://www.supercoder.com/my-ask-an-expert/topic/z00121-or-z00129#post-40993

When well child exam is done, basically preventive services, then there may be normal or abnormal finding can be there with the child examination, so if findings are abnormal then use ICD-10 Z00.129 & if there are no abnormal findings then use Z00.121. If there are no abnormal findings with the mentioned CPT codes, then Z00.129 ICD-10 is appropriate to use. Hope this clear your doubts.
