POST OPERATIVE HEMATOMA

Cathy Posted Tue 17th of May, 2016 17:23:59 PM
I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT A C-SECTION. THE PHYSICIAN DID A C SECTION. AND THE PATIENT CONTINUES TO HAVE BLEEDING FROM THE C SECTION SITE. THE PHYSICIAN WANTS TO BILL A 35840. WOULD THAT BE CORRECT. WHAT WOULD BE THE ICD10. I AM ONLY ABLE TO FIND A CODE FOR CONTUSION AND THE PHYSICIAN DISAGREES WITH IT. THANK YOU

The procedure code that the physician wants to code seems correct. However the ICD for this would be O90.2, Hematoma of obstetric wound. thank you.
