What is the best code to use for Left #2 plantar plate repair ??

SuperCoder Answered Thu 31st of January, 2013 21:19:06 PM

I need some more details. If this is performed in conjunction with hammertoe, there is no specific code for repair of flexor(plantar) plate, I suggest adding modifier "-22" to CPT 28285 indicating that this procedure was greater than the usual code, and deserves more compensation.

If not, please do submit additional info to get a clear scenario.
