We are a pathology group. Our doctors work in the hospital setting only. If we diagnose a biopsy or pap smear that it taken in the doctors office, do we use POS 11 or 22? A little confusion, as the patient is at the doctors office but we are performing the test in the hsopital setting. This would be for the professional component only. Thank you.

Thanks for the Query

I would suggest POS 22 more appropriate for this type of scenario as POS 22 define A portion of a hospital’s main campus which provides diagnostic, therapeutic (both surgical and nonsurgical),andrehabilitation services to sick or injured persons who do not require hospitalization or institutionalization.
