Hi, A percutaneous nephroscope is a thin fiberoptic probe that can be inserted into the kidney through an incision in the skin. It allows visualization of the inside of the kidney with the help of light transmitted through the fibres. This device is equipped with a tool that can be used to grasp and remove small kidney stones. So, in the above mentioned scenario the most appropriate CPT code is 50080 or CPT 50081 (depending on the size of the stone being removed). Hope this Helps. Thanks.
