Overnight oximetry code

Suzanne Posted Mon 21st of November, 2011 17:14:04 PM

Please tell me what the CPT code(s) would be used for an overnight oximetry with oral appliance devise and an overnight oximetry without oral appliance. Thank you.

Overnight oximetry without oral appliance:94762
To code for oral appliance therapy, including fitting, additionally use CPT Code E1399: "Durable medical equipment, miscellaneous," or HCPCS Code S8620 "Oral orthodontic for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea." CMS does not allow payment for oral appliances, but local insurers may approve reimbursement using one of these codes
