saw evidence of synovitis and healing injury to the extensor carpi ulnaris tendon. In lieu of that I elected to close some of the extensor retinaculum, like very lightly distally and proximally to assure that tendon pulley had enough room to track, but probably enough tightness to prevent it from subluxing................

If ex-tensor carpi ulnaris tendon was performed earlier then cpt 25272 is more appropriate for closure of the extensor retinaculum. Please feel free to ask further queries.

This procedure was initially scheduled for repair of the triangular cartilage complex, but when he made the incision and did not see any damage so this procedure was not performed just what was noted in my previous note.......which was the closure of the extensor retinculum.

I am looking for the CPT code for Open exploration of the carpi ulnaris tendon and ulnar collateral ligament with closure of the extensor retinuculum, lightly, distally and proximally to assure that the tendon pulley had enough room to track, but enough tightness to prevent it from subluxing..........

CPT code 25270 seems more appropriate for the given scenario.
